Policies from Ten Ministries Promote Intelligent Construction Upgrade; Tech Application Rate in Major Projects to Reach 50% by 2025

With the implementation of the Key Work Points for the Coordinated Transformation and Development of Digitalization and Greenization in 2025 jointly issued by ten ministries, China's construction industry is accelerating its in-depth transformation towards industrialization, digitalization, and intelligence. Intelligent construction has entered a period of resonance between policy dividends and technological innovation.
Various regions have defined specific development paths. Jiangsu Province has put forward a "three-step" blueprint for intelligent construction, clarifying that by the end of 2025, the application rate of applicable intelligent construction technologies in major projects will reach approximately 50%, and more than 30 leading enterprises will be cultivated. Beijing focuses on building a "technology-led" demonstration city, gathering emerging business formats such as digital design and construction robots. Driven by policies, remarkable results have been achieved in technology implementation. The fully prefabricated series products developed by China Construction Sixth Engineering Bureau have been applied in over 20 subway projects in Beijing, with prefabrication accuracy reaching the millimeter level. This technology can reduce manual labor by 80%, increase efficiency by 3 times, and reduce carbon emissions by 60%.
At the 2025 China International Fair for Trade in Services, "black technologies" in intelligent construction were showcased collectively. The Longyan Bridge, applying the "horizontal secondary swivel" technology, set multiple world records; traditional steel structure towers in the wind power sector were replaced by prefabricated concrete towers; and the potential of prefabricated building technology in the field of green and low-carbon development was fully unleashed. Experts point out that as the industrial ecosystem becomes increasingly mature, China is accelerating its progress towards becoming a "world power in intelligent construction".
