Cowest RDS 10T Glass Vacuum Lifter: Redefining the Limits of Modern Glass Installation

This is the story of how a single machine transformed the glass installation industry, bridging the gap between manual glass lifting equipment and the demands of mega-projects. From handling 750kg glass panels for everyday glazing to installing 10,000kg curved masterpieces, the RDS 10T has become the gold standard for precision, safety, and innovation.

‌The Evolution of Glass Handling: From Manual Labor to Hydraulic Mastery‌

For decades, glass installation relied on manual glass lifting equipment—a labor-intensive process fraught with risks and limitations. The rise of skyscrapers and avant-garde architectural designs demanded a paradigm shift. Enter Cowest Machinery’s RDS series, a line of hydraulic glass suction lifters engineered to tackle the impossible.

The ‌RDS 10T Glass Vacuum Lifter‌ stands at the pinnacle of this evolution. With a jaw-dropping 10,000kg load capacity, it combines raw power with surgical precision. Its hydraulic tilting (0°–90°) and rotating (0°–360°) capabilities allow operators to position glass panels with millimeter accuracy, whether installing a 750kg glass unit for a boutique storefront or lifting a 10-ton curved glass behemoth for a corporate landmark.

‌Engineering Excellence: Key Features of the RDS 10T‌

‌Unmatched 10,000kg Load Capacity‌
Designed for the world’s most ambitious projects, the RDS 10T effortlessly handles glass panels weighing up to 10 tons—equivalent to lifting five mid-sized cars. This capability was proven in its 2021 Guinness World Record installation of a 17-meter-long, 10,000kg glass unit.

‌Adaptable Suction Technology for Curved Glass‌
As the ‌Largest Cambered glass lifter‌, the RDS 10T features 24 independent curved suction cup groups, each with its own vacuum system. Operators can mix and match suction configurations using quick-swap aluminum frames, making it ideal for uniquely shaped glass, including arched or wave-like designs.

‌Wireless Control & Intelligent Safety Systems‌
A unified wireless remote allows operators to activate/deactivate suction cups individually from a safe distance. Real-time vacuum monitoring, battery alarms, and IP43 protection ensure fail-safe operation even in harsh environments.

‌Energy-Efficient Hydraulic Power‌
Powered by dual 12V-200Ah batteries, the RDS 10T minimizes energy consumption with smart vacuum compensation. Its 2.2 kW system supports 8+ hours of continuous operation, while the universal 110–240V charging system guarantees compatibility worldwide.

‌Customizable for Any Project‌
From the 850x550mm aluminum suction cups to extendable frames, every component can be tailored. This flexibility has made the RDS 10T a staple in projects ranging from the Beijing Forest Bookstore’s 17-meter glass walls to the Taikang Life Insurance Building’s 8-ton facade.

‌The Largest Cambered Glass Installation Method: How It Works‌

Curved glass installation has long been a nightmare for engineers. Traditional manual methods risked cracks, misalignment, and worker injury. The RDS 10T’s ‌Largest Cambered Glass Installation Method‌ solves these challenges through:

• ‌Precision Suction Control‌: Each of the 24 suction cups adjusts pressure independently to match the glass’s curvature.

• ‌360° Rotation & Tilt‌: Operators can “steer” glass mid-air to align perfectly with building frameworks.

• ‌Modular Design‌: Swapping suction components takes minutes, enabling rapid transitions between flat and curved projects.

This method was critical in the Haojing Group’s 2024 record-breaking installation, where the RDS 10T positioned a 62.421m² curved glass panel flawlessly on the first attempt.

‌Global Impact: Case Studies & Guinness Records‌

• ‌Beijing City Center Library (Forest Bookstore)‌: The RDS 10T installed 17-meter glass panels weighing nearly 8 tons, creating a luminous, tree-inspired structure.

• ‌Taikang Life Insurance Building‌: Using the ‌750kg Glass Lifter for Glass Glazing‌ configuration, the machine handled hundreds of mid-sized panels with robotic efficiency.

• ‌Guinness World Records‌: In 2021 and 2024, Cowest twice claimed the title for “Largest Glass Installation” using the RDS 10T, cementing its status as an industry leader.
